Overview of Programs & Services Safe Place started in 2003 and the mission is to provide Washoe County children/youth with a safety net to deal with a dangerous or threatening situation you are not prepared to deal with on your own. We assess your immediate need to determine what services we can provide such as free individual or family counseling, rental/housing assistance, utility assistance, access to our food pantry, and provide support in looking into other resources you may need.
